Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. The insurances accepted are: Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Jersey, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, United Healthcare (Optum), Oxford (Optum), Cigna, Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross California, and Blue Shield of California.

  • For out-of-pocket sessions, a 50-60 minute individual session is $200, a family session is $205, and $100 for a 30-minute individual session. If you are using insurance, your cost for sessions will vary based on your coverage.

  • Credit/Debit card, FSA, HSA, check, or cash

  • You are billed via our insurance billing platform, Headway, after each session.  Prior to your appointment, you’ll set up an account with them where you’ll complete two short consent forms and enter your payment information.

  • I request that you cancel or reschedule a session 48 hours in advance. If you don’t show for your appointment or late cancel (less than 48 hours), you will be responsible for the entire fee for session ($200). This policy is needed because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you.

  • I understand that life happens and I am more than willing to be flexible on a case by case basis. There is a one-time freebie that I provide in which your late cancelation/no-show fee is waived. If you choose to use your freebie; however, moving forward, the late cancelation/no-show fee does apply. 

  • The standard meeting time for psychotherapy is 50-60 minutes for adults. It is up to you, however, to determine the length of time of your sessions. Requests to change the 50-minute session needs to be discussed with your therapist in order for time to be scheduled in advance. For children, sessions vary from 30-50 minutes based on age range and developmental factors.

  • If you want to pay with debit/credit card, FSA or HSA, you are billed via our HIPPA compliant Ivy Pay platform.

  • Yes, however, I do request that if you plan on rescheduling, it be done within the same week. This means that if you choose to reschedule, your rescheduled appointment will take place the same week. If your appointment lands on a Friday, please try your best to reschedule as soon as you are able to.
